Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Hillsboro, OR - 97124

Please note: This role is 100% Onsite, Laptop will be issued.

Job Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Experience with Windows OS
• Experience updating/configuring system BIOS
• Experience programming firmware via common industry tools (dediprog, etc)
• Experience with board assembly and rework (familiar with board ass’y and rework process)
• Experience with common test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Electronic loads, Digital multimeters, Logic Analyzers, Power supplies, etc.)
• Capability to navigate a schematic, correlate with a PCB layout, and locate components on a circuits board
• Some entry level knowledge of Python to edit and execute python scripts needed to validate hardware
• Work independently to validate instruments/systems and features with accuracy, and document test results in a clear way, with HW Validation plans
• Execute enumeration cycling data collection and document results
• Basic soldering skills to perform PCB rework (light duty)
• Perform initial root cause of issues encountered during general use of development test systems, and during HW validation and enumeration cycling (hardware & software)
• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet used for data collection and analysis
• Must be able to work safely around energized systems; Follow safety practices and guidelines when lifting and handling hardware to setup testers
• Help with lab cleanup and organization of test equipment and accessories
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is a must; Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced and fluid environment
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and driven. Some degree of judgement required in resolving nonstandard problems.
• Good communication skills and able to work within a diverse team
• Ability to assemble/rework standard computer systems from raw components, experience with Windows OS, experience updating/configure system BIOS, and experience programming firmware via common industry tools (dediprog, etc).
• Responsible for the test system assembly, bring up, and debug.

Minimum Educational Requirement: BS degree, HS diploma or Equivalent required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
